To support Kōhanga Reo with managing funded hours during the ANZAC Day public holiday (Friday, 25 April 2025), we’ve prepared a 20 Hour Amendment Form.

This form is designed for Kōhanga Reo who follow the funded hours sequence used by many across the motu, which allows for public holiday hours to be shifted to another day of the same week.

This year, ANZAC Day and Easter Monday fall in the same funding week, which means only one public holiday can be claimed. This amendment form will help your whānau adjust the hours accordingly.

Key Information:

• This form supports 3–5 year old mokopuna eligible for the 20 Hour subsidy

• Participation in the 20 Hours is optional and must be agreed to by parents or caregivers

• Kōhanga who use their own customised funded hours pattern will need to create and manage their own amendment forms as usual.

Please complete the form with whānau and return it to your Kōhanga Reo by Monday, 21 April 2025.
