Te taonga e kore e ngaro, i ngā tau whakahuihui, i ngā tau takaoriori.
This is the last in our website pānui series, where we highlight new features and resources available from the website and Visual Identity Kete intended to support you and the Kaupapa of Kōhanga Reo. Check out what’s new below.
Trust Key Dates Calendar and new Rohe Calendars
Do you find it hard to keep track of important Kōhanga Reo dates and events? Now you’ll be able to find these more easily, with the launch of the Trust Key Dates Calendar and new Rohe Calendars coming soon.
You can check out the Trust key dates calendar by logging in to the website and viewing it from your Aku Mahi page (the log in landing page). This calendar holds organisational events and dates, such a key funding and payment dates, Trust hui and events, and public and school holidays, and is managed by the Communications Team. Events and dates will continue to be added over time.
The Rohe calendars will be published in around 2 weeks’ time. You’ll be able to view them from the rohe web page after logging in. They will hold rohe-specific events such as purapura hui, whakangungu, korowaitanga, open days and other events. Each Tari ā-Rohe will manage their own calendar.
New Te Whāriki images in the Visual Identity Kete
Looking to get creative with your documents, guides or posters? You’ll find a range of templates inspired by the design elements from Te Whāriki a Te Kōhanga Reo Te Pae Tuku Aka and Te Whāriki a Te Kōhanga Reo Te Pae Tuku Kōrero i Te Ata for you to use in the kete.
You can save time by using a ready-made template, or if you’re feeling creative, check out the new series of individual images from Te Whāriki books, which you can select from to personalise and bring your document to life.
Getting the best from the website Search function
The Search function at the top of the website can help you find what you are looking for quickly. Here’s a quick tip to help you get better search results - if you are searching for a name or location that is made up of multiple words (e.g., Te Tai Tokerau), use quotation marks around the full name (e.g., “Te Tai Tokerau”) in the Search field. This will mean you’ll get search results for the full name, not just the first word in the name.
New Microsoft Teams backgrounds in our Kōhanga Reo visual designs
Do you want to brighten up your online Teams calls? Check out the new set of Teams background designs that have just landed in the Visual Identity Kete. There are a range of options to select from based on our three core design themes; Te Kaupapa, Mokopuna me te Whānau and Te Whare Ako.
Check out this quick guide on how to access and use these Teams backgrounds.
Looking for key documents to support whānau whakahaere?
A reminder to check out the Ngā Tukanga me ngā Hātepe page or Rauemi section of the website anytime you are looking for important documents, guides, forms, templates, videos, presentations, or links.
The Ngā Tukanga me ngā Hātepe page presents these resources in organisational categories and provides additional information explaining the context for their use.
The Rauemi section has a quick and easy search function, which you can use to filter your search by functional category or resource type.
We hope all these new features and resources will help to make your lives easier and be enjoyable to use. We are always keen to hear your feedback – this helps us continuously improve what’s available to support you. If you have any suggestions or pātai, please get in touch with Te Ara Hiko.
Noho ora mai i roto i ngā manaakitanga.
