Introducing our brand new website and Kōhanga Reo intranet
Mai i Waiwhetū ki te motu, hoki mai anō, kua itā anō te aho tāngaengae o Te Kōhanga Reo, kua rewa hoki te whārangi ipurangi hou o tō tātou kaupapa huia kaimanawa.
I’m excited to announce the launch of our new website and Kōhanga Reo intranet.
Our website is a gateway for us to connect with prospective whānau, kaimahi, ākonga, communities, and everyone who wants to find out more about Kōhanga Reo. I encourage you to take a look around and check out the new designs, information, and resources.
For a quick heads up on where to start, view the Introduction to the Kōhanga Reo website video below.

New website features
Here are some highlighted changes to note:
Tūranga Waatea – Now that we have a new Employment Vacancies page, we have a new process for managing job listings to ensure we collect all the information we need to prepare the listings in a consistent format. To find out more, see the Te Pānui Tūranga Mahi | Establishing Employment page and Tūranga Waatea | Employment Vacancies page.
Toa Hokohoko Tuihono – We have a new Toa Hokohoko Tuihono | Online Store. Instead of filling in the Taonga or Merchandise forms you will use the Online Store instead. Payments are still manually processed, and you will use the order number from the website as your payment reference.
Pānui – Our new Pānui | News section displays the latest news and updates for all whānau, kaimahi and the public. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll also see news from the Aku Mahi page.
Rauemi – We have a new Rauemi | Resources section and Ngā Tukanga me ngā Hātepe | Processes and Procedures page where you can find information, guides and forms to support Kōhanga Reo management. Some of the documents on these pages are limited to internal access only. By logging in to the new Kōhanga Reo intranet, you will be able to access all the resources available to you.
New Kōhanga Reo intranet
To log in to the new Kōhanga Reo intranet, use the Log in button at the top of the page.
You’ll need your own individual login to access the intranet. Te Ara Hiko are working through a process to ensure all police vetted kaimahi and whānau are provided with a Trust login and will be in touch rohe by rohe about this. If you don’t have a Trust login yet, and want to get your access set up, you can contact Te Ara Hiko at [email protected].
Once you have logged in, you’ll see the Aku Mahi page which provides news, quick links to system and tools, and more.
For more on this and what it means for you, see the Overview of KoAu video and the Introduction to Aku Mahi video below.

Visual Identity Kete – coming mid-May
We are putting the finishing touches on our new Visual Identity kete, which will have resources and templates for whānau and kaimahi using the new design themes. We’ll be in touch in mid-May to let you know how to access the kete and more about what’s available.
Your feedback
We’d love to hear what you think about the new website. Share your views using the Feedback Form.
Ngā mihi to everyone for your input and feedback which has helped us to create something that is uniquely us.
Ngā mihi,
