Kua tuwhera te ara whakauru ki te Korowai Mokopuna
Te Kōhanga Reo National Trust is offering ten scholarships for Kaiako of Kōhanga Reo. These scholarships are intended for Kaiako who are interested in pursuing a degree qualification, and in contributing to enhancing the skills, knowledge, and capabilities of kaiako, whānau, and our kaupapa, ultimately benefiting the needs of our mokopuna Tama-ariki.
These scholarships will support successful applicants to enrol on, and study part-time (over two years), towards the Post Graduate Diploma (Specialist Teaching) Korowai Mokopuna, Level 8, offered through Massey University. The Korowai Mokopuna component of this degree programme has been designed specifically by Kōhanga Reo for Kōhanga Reo.
Here’s what you need to do to register
All applicants must:
Have graduated with Te Tohu Mātauranga Whakapakari Tino Rangatiratanga o Te Kōhanga Reo
Submit a current CV
Submit a copy of your Birth Certificate or current Passport and Driver’s License
Have at least 5 years’ experience in the Kōhanga Reo movement
Have written endorsement from their TKR whānau - a “tono” process
Have a current police vet. This is a requirement of the Massey University enrolment process
Be committed to completing the PGD Korowai Mokopuna course
Kaiako who are interested in the course need to send their register of interest by completing the online registration form and send an email with your supporting documentation to the Kaiārahi Wāhanga Whakapakari Lania Pohatu [email protected] and to [email protected]
Registrations of Interest date has been extended to Expressions of interest date extended to Wednesday 28 August 2024.
HRT No.48 –Expressions of interest date extended to Tuesday 27 August 2024 for Korowai Manaaki L8 training course.
