Reminder: Christmas Payroll Guide – Get ready for the holiday break
Kia ora e te whānau,
As the holiday season approaches, we want to make sure your kōhanga is fully prepared for the Christmas payroll period. Here’s a reminder of the key steps to help things run smoothly over the break:
Check leave balances: Ensure all kaimahi leave arrangements are loaded into the Smartly payroll system accurately. This will prevent any disruptions in payroll processing.
Confirm payroll schedules: Be sure to double-check your payroll schedules, especially if you pay kaimahi weekly. Make sure the scheduled payments will cover the holiday period.
Organise payroll adjustments: If any kaimahi have outstanding leave or entitlements, address these before the break to ensure everything is balanced.
Seek support if needed: Don’t leave things to the last minute! If you need assistance with Smartly or have questions about payroll processes, reach out to your Kaiwhakarite-a-Rohe for support.
To provide additional support, below are two helpful video guides from Smartly. These guides walk you through the process of managing holiday payroll arrangements step by step. Watch them here:
For those seeking even more in-depth guidance, Smartly offers webinars designed to help you make the most out of their features. You can register now to view these detailed demonstrations and watch a replay after the webinar has finished too.
